A hands-on Workshop on “PIC – Microcontroller” is being organized for the benefit of Students. This Programme will help the students to get in-depth knowledge in programming microcontrollers, final semester Projects based on micro-controllers, and also get into embedded system related companies.

|Using GPIO in Swadeshee PIC 16 development board and some programming practice using Dancing LED board. Working on external interrupt and Interrupt on change pin.|
|Working on timers and counters.|
|Usage of ADC with polling and interrupts. Eg: Temperature sensor (LM35)|
|A 4×4 matrix keypad interface with PIC microcontroller.|
|A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) interface with PIC Microcontroller.|
|RS-232 Communication between PIC and the PC.|
|Working on Mini project like displaying room temperature using temperature sensor|
Development Environment: MPLAB IDE (free software from MICROCHIP)
Compiler Used: HITECH C Compiler (Lite mode)
Development Board: SWADESHEE PIC 16 Development Board
Programmer Used: SWADESHEE PICKIT 2 Programmer
1. One computer for each group (3-4 students in a group).
2. Maximum 40 Students in a batch and minimum is 20.
